Get Kandid (“we”, “us”) provides review-intelligence reports for local businesses. This policy explains what data we handle and why. The short version, candidly: we read public reviews, we use your form data to build and send your report, and we do not sell data. Ever.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you request a report or an upgrade we collect your business name, email address, a Google Maps link, and optionally a phone number, competitor names and free-text notes.
Public review data. We collect publicly available reviews and business profile information from platforms such as Google Maps, Yelp and TripAdvisor. This is information anyone can see on those platforms. We do not collect non-public data from your platform accounts — we never ask for, or receive, access to them.
Technical basics. Our hosting provider logs standard technical data (such as IP addresses) for security and operation of this website.
How we use it
We use your data to build your report, deliver it by email, respond to your requests, and — if you subscribe — provide ongoing updates and alerts. We may email you about your report or your request. We do not run third-party advertising and we do not sell or rent personal information.
Where it lives
Data is stored on managed hosting infrastructure in the United States. Reports and review data are retained so we can keep your report current; you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Analytics & cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) — but only if you allow it. Analytics is off by default and starts only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in a single first-party cookie (gk_consent) for 180 days; that cookie contains nothing but your yes/no answer.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes usage data — pages visited, approximate location derived from a shortened (anonymized) IP address, and device information — on servers that may be located in the United States. We use this solely to understand how visitors use this site. If you decline, no analytics data is collected at all. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting this site’s cookies in your browser; the banner will then ask again.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors to run the service: hosting (Hostinger), email delivery (Google Workspace/Gmail), consent-based web analytics (Google Analytics), data collection (Apify) and AI analysis (Anthropic Claude). Review excerpts are processed by these services to produce your report. None of them may use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.
Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time — one email is enough. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor access and deletion requests without discrimination.
Review authors
Reports quote from publicly posted reviews verbatim and attribute them to their platform. We do not build profiles of reviewers and we do not store more reviewer information than what is publicly displayed alongside a review.
